With Great Joy and Clapping

So like any excited potty-training parent, I clap for Alaythia when she potties in the toilet.  Over time, it has come to be that she expects this, though it’s starting to feel silly.  In fact, she now solicits claps from anyone in the vicinity, both before, during, and after the big event.  Charlie is often the recipient of  her requests/demands for applause, to which he cheerfully obliges his “Eya”.

Earlier today, I got this IM from Charlie’s mom, Keren:

Charlie pooped in the toilet this morning, and then refused to put his diaper back on… insisted on underwear… I think we may not be able to hold him off til after Christmas!

…then he said, “Eya clap?”
