We have much to be thankful for this year.
We have enjoyed some peaceful time outside in the sunshine, cooked for a feast (that’s us working on three huge things of collard greens – which we were delighted to find turned out great after a night of crock pot incubation!), and even decorated for Christmas!
Note the little closely packed group of glass balls. They are a family, Alaythia insisted, and so needed to all be there together. And so the family is closely packed on our Christmas tree.
We also have a unique Nativity scene, which used to belong to my sister. It now holds a scene including Mary Magdalene and Jesus’ older sister. I think I’ll wait till next year to discuss the Virgin birth…
We had a great dinner, time talking, watching football and Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving, and visiting and telling stories at our friends’ and neighbors’ the Vanden Brinks’.
Cosette loved the sweet potato casserole!
